Meet Ethan & Thaun
Same two owners, 16 years of electrical experience between the trucks and the office. Not a franchise, not a roll-up — a Fort Bend County contractor you can actually get on the phone.
16 years in the trade, same two owners
Ethan and Thaun have been doing electrical work in this area since 2010. They formed Critical Power Solutions in 2022 to do it under their own name — so the company is younger than the 16 years of experience behind it, and we would rather say that than let you assume otherwise.
It is still run by the same two people. That matters more in this trade than it sounds like it should. A lot of home-services companies in Houston have been bought up by private equity in the last few years, and the thing that usually changes first is who answers when something goes wrong.
We are veteran-owned and family-owned, and we work out of two offices in Fort Bend County — a warehouse and office in Richmond and a sales office in Sugar Land.

What we actually do
Two things, and the combination is unusual. The first is standby generators — selling, installing, servicing and repairing Kohler, Generac and Cummins systems for homes and businesses. The second is commercial electrical contracting: bidding and self-performing tenant finish-out electrical scopes from engineered drawings.
Most contractors in this market do one or the other. Running both means when a finish-out needs standby power, or a generator job turns out to need real distribution work, it is the same license and the same crew either way.
How we work
We size it before we price it
A number quoted over the phone without seeing your panel is a guess. We look first — at the service, the gas supply and where a unit can actually sit — and then give you something in writing.
Two trades, one license
Generators and commercial electrical contracting both run under TECL #37583. When a job touches both, there is one contractor accountable rather than two pointing at each other.
We say what we do not know
If your address sits in unincorporated county rather than inside city limits, or your gas line will not carry the unit you want, you will hear it before the work starts rather than after.
Where we work
Greater Houston and surrounding areas within about an hour of Richmond, with most of our work in Fort Bend County — Richmond, Rosenberg, Sugar Land, Katy, Fulshear, Missouri City and the master-planned communities around them. Full list on service areas.
